Violence Fog, a very short-lived but powerful psychedelic rock band from Baden-Baden, Germany, formed in 1969. The lineup included Wolfgang Höfer (vocals/flute), Karl-Heinz Höfer (guitar/flute/vocals), Enno Dernov (guitar), Hilmar Beine (bass), and Herbert Brandmeier (drums). Their music mixed raw, fuzz-laden guitar tones and British/American-influenced bluesy solos into a sound that ranged from energetic riffing to moody and hypnotic psych jams.
The band soon built up a devoted local fan base and often played in youth centers, music clubs, and even at film premieres, where their trippy psychedelic light show accompanied their live performances.
