Velvet is LEX’s first full-length release since their 2016 debut, blending warm, analog textures inspired by late ’80s and early ’90s soul with live grooves and human feel. The album introduces their twin vocal lineup with Kim Mayo and features Syl DuBenion (Standing on the Corner) on sax and vocals. Reuniting with original member and Grammy-winning songwriter J. Hoard, and joined by MCs Pink Siifu, JSWISS, and C-Red, Velvet is a forward-looking statement built to resonate well beyond the present.
