Truth to Power (feat. Dele Sosimi & Afla Sackey)
Two years since their last release on the label, Wah Wah 45s are proud to present exciting, brand new music from Afrobeat supergroup Eparapo, featuring Fela Kuti disciple and the UK's "Afrobeat Ambassador", Dele Sosimi, and percussionist, vocalist and one half of label mates Raz & Afla, Aflay Sackey.
Following on from their debut LP, Take To The Streets, bass player Suman Joshi's vibrant and righteous all-star outfit return with two more heavyweight Afrobeat bangers that provide a desperately needed call to action, as the man himself explains:
"As disinformation, fake news & "alternative facts" continue to dominate political discourse, those who seek power at any cost are happily reaping the rewards of the resulting chaos. With social media platforms cashing in on extreme views and angry exchanges we're losing our grip on reality. Social cohesion is crumbling as mob mentality, whipped up by unscrupulous politicians, takes hold. If we're to turn the tide against the poisonous rhetoric being employed by those who would happily see the world burn to further their own nefarious ambitions, then we need a powerful new narrative - one based on unity, compassion, integrity and truth."
