Torta De Pan
Reissued on a 45 for the first time. Two awesome Latin jazz-funk gems for the dance floor, blazing with the rich brass section and percussion. Both songs are taken from mega-rare Venezuelan LPs released in 1976. La Retreta Mayor was founded and led by guitarist Alex RodrĂguez. âTorta de panâ, reminiscent of recordings of classic US funk bands such as the JBs, was originally included in their only and hard-to-find LP. On the flip side of our 45 we find âLa venganzaâ that was part of a mega rare soundtrack written and recorded by Pablo Schneider for the obscure Venezuelan sexploitation film âSobre la Hierba⊠Virgenâ. Both songs were released on Discomoda in 1976 and the original records are almost impossible to find in any condition. How cool and handy is to have both songs together on a DJ-friendly 45? First time 7â reissue.
