Born from the ashes of silence, The Solitude deliver an authentic resurrection of classic Epic Doom Metal — slow, heavy, and profoundly human. Conceived by Janne Parviainen (Ensiferum) more than 30 years ago and reborn through the vision of Gas Lipstick (ex-HIM, Kyyria), Aleksi Parviainen, and Ville Pelkonen, the band channels the timeless grandeur of Candlemass and Black Sabbath while forging a path entirely their own. Their upcoming debut album, The Sound of Absent Life (Reaper Entertainment), was recorded live to analog tape at Finnvox Studios — raw, unfiltered, and filled with genuine emotion. Produced by the band, mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Amorphis) and mastered by Mika Jussila (Motörhead, Stratovarius, Nightwish), the record captures the essence of real 2 musicians performing together, rejecting modern perfection for human soul. The Solitude stands for what so much modern music has lost — honesty, emotion, and imperfection. Or, as the band puts it: Epic. Fucking. Doom.
