Since that time, they have had many imitators. Many of bands have cited Scratch Acid as one of their influences. Rey Washam who play drums in Scratch Acid, went on to be in Rapeman, Daddy Longhead, and Tad. David Sims, who played bass in Scratch Acid, went on to be in Rapeman and The Jesus Lizard. David Yow, who sang in Scratch Acid, went on to be in The Jesus Lizard.
