Pantera is a groove metal band from Arlington, Texas, USA. Formed in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul Abbott and Dimebag Darrell, along with Terry Glaze, Donny Hart, and Tommy Bradford. With multiple lineup changes throughout the years, Pantera released four albums in the 80s before achieving commercial success with their debut album "Cowboys from Hell" in 1990. The band went on to release two highly successful albums before splitting up in 2003
