The Foundation Cycle
Introducing The Citadel to international audiences means re-introducing retro 60s aestheticism with a fresh touch of modern energy. The young quintet formed in the South German city of Erlangen in 2022 and built up their material through jams and experimentations. They have developed an almost two-hour live set of their own songs which evoke psychedelic rock, folk and an overall vintage flair transported by their warm charisma on stage. Touring all around the Nuremberg metropolitan region, The Citadel have now achieved several festival gigs all over the country while mixing their second studio album, "Dawns on Mental Highways", which will be released in autumn. Their 2024 debut album, "The Foundation Cycle" is now repressed by Subsound Records.
