The Definitive Warner Brothers Collection

Triple CD of Al Jarreau featuring all of Al Jarreau's biggest Hits.

It’s exactly 50 years ago that Al Jarreau released his debut album We Got By. Then a 35-year-old psychology graduate who had been working in San Francisco. Jarreau got a deal with Reprise Records, which led to his debut album, a highly original collection of self-penned songs that bucked trends and, with its mixture of styles, couldn’t easily be pigeonholed.

But the release of his second Album Glow is when Al got chart success, and that got bigger and better with every album release.

This collection covers Al's career from his 1975 debut album We Got By right up to the 1994 Tenderness release, and features such Smash Hits as ‘We're In This Love Together’, ‘Mornin'‘, ‘Boogie Down’, ‘So Good’ and ‘Moonlighting’ which this package features the extended remix plus many more.

From soulful declarations of romantic love to scintillating jazz improvisations and funky dance grooves, the 50 tracks in this compilation pay tribute to a virtuosic vocalist who, at the peak of his popularity in the 70s and 80s, enriched pop music by introducing a stylish jazz sophistication.

The package includes fabulous sleeve notes by Charles Waring Contributor to MOJO, Record Collector, and uDiscover Music.
