Astle's debut album Soundtrack For The Twenty-One Bus Home is inspired by Dan Astle's late Uncle Joseph, and the mix-tape of the same name Joe made to listen to on his daily commute on the 21 bus. Joe sadly took his own life when Dan was only 6 months old however Dan found he has managed to have a relationship with his Uncle through the records, clothes, and other meaningful items he left behind including of course the eponymous mix-tape.
