Sometimes Sounds Collapse
The Elusive was a Washington, DC post-hardcore band that formed in the summer of 1997 from members of Corm, Jenhitt, and the Tilden Shirtwaist Fire. The quintet played only a handful of shows with peers - Arm, Braid, the Challenger Commission, Compound Red, Franklin, Frodus, the Get Up Kids, Joan of Arc, Kerosene 454, Proudentall and others -- before breaking up in April 1998. Months earlier, the Elusive recorded Sometimes Sounds Collapse, documenting all six songs written during the band's brief tenure.
