Sacred Spaces
Following the release of his highly-praised 2019 self-titled debut album featuring his breakthrough single âWhereâs My Loveâ (+500 million streams), SYML, the solo project of singer, songwriter, and producer Brian Fennell, is now supporting the release of his new live album âSacred Spacesâ with an extensive European tour.
Recorded at St. Markâs Cathedral in Seattle during the height of the global pandemic, the âSacred Spacesâ live album is Fennell in his purest form, with gut-wrenching performances of some of his most captivating offerings. Accompanied by a horn and string section, the live renditions aim to add levity and grandeur to his heartfelt releases to date. Performing them live in an isolated environment, he captures the strong feeling of loneliness many of us felt these past years and produces an endearing and emotional ode to our collective experience.
The performance, streamed earlier this year, struck with such vigour and conviction, his devout fanbase requested it be released as a full live collection. The demand remained so great that he also plans to take the show on tour for the very first time as the Sacred Spaces tour. While the original recording was performed live without an in-person audience, these forthcoming appearances will see him venture to some of the worldâs most beautiful churches, with the goal of rekindling the same magic and atmosphere as his first performance.
