Rubycon - 50th Anniversary
50th Anniversary edition of the legendary album Rubycon by Tangerine Dream.
Widely regarded as one of their finest albums, Rubycon was the bandâs second album for Virgin Records and comprised two long pieces which pioneered the use of sequencers and synthesiser technology and produced some of the finest ambient music ever recorded.
The record was also their highest UK charting release, reaching number 10 on the UK charts.
This new edition features the remastered original stereo mix, along with an extended introduction version of Rubycon mixed by Steven Wilson. The set also features the complete concert recorded at The Rainbow in London in October 1974 over 2 CDs and the complete concert at The Royal Albert Hall in April 1975 (which featured Michael Hoening replacing Peter Baumann) also over 2CDs. The release features an extensively illustrated booklet and a new essay by Tangerine Dream expert Wouter Bessels.
