Hotflush label boss Paul Rose aka Scuba returns with a vinyl-only EP for Record Store Day UK 2026.
âPetrologyâ covers the widest stylistic range of Scuba productions, and hints at the breadth and variety of atmospherics found on his last full studio album, Claustrophobia, all the way back in 2015. Opening track âHoming Deviceâ sets a brutal tone which gives way to the shimmering techno of âPuppetsâ. Side A is closed out by the title track, a dual-parted excursion into ambience and overdriven percussion.
Side B consists of the three parts of âTĂoâ. The extended track opens with DnB inflections, gradually unfolding into deep dub structures and finally resolving into abstract rhythm and melody.
âPetrologyâ is presented as a strictly limited press on transparent blue vinyl.
