Pain

Pain

Iconic Swedish musician and producer Peter Tägtgren, who has worked with genre titans like Sabaton, Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir, Celtic Frost in the past, launched Pain in 1996 as a side project combining electronic with heavy music and try out different soundscapes than his death metal group Hypocrisy would allow for. Being a masterful songwriter, Tägtgren quickly developed Pain further, releasing eight albums until 2016.

The buzz around the band boosted demand for their early classics, which had been out of print for years and never available on vinyl. After Nuclear Blast Records properly reissued Nothing Remains The Same (2002) and Dancing With The Dead (2005) last year with all audio remastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios, now the debut Pain (1996), its successor Rebirth (1999), and fifth album Psalms Of Extinction (2007) get the same treatment inviting Painheads, new and old, to experience these milestones in their definitive editions.
