Overpass, the third LP from Scott Hardware, is an avant-pop ode to the loaner—the late-night, headphones-on wanderer. The lyrics were slowly carved out over countless dusk-to-night walks through North Lisbon, soundtracked by musicals. As planes, trains, and highways wove their own visual symphony, they echoed the sweeping drama in my ears. The record is an attempt to translate the strange beauty I see and feel in the overlooked, in-between parts of cities.
