Inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Möbiusâ INCAL graphic novels, Mike Shannonâs âOff World Syntheticsâ EP opens with âSynthetic Salsatecaâ, where a static groove drives a playful, squelching synthline. âBack To The Hoodâ follows with rattling, mechanical energy before the fl ip reveals âOff World Sparkleâ, its wonky sequences bending around rubbery low-end. Closing cut âOnly Noodlesâ pushes deeper into warped clicks, scratches, and subtly shifting textures, rounding off an EP thatâs raw, restrained, and devastating in the right hands and on the right system.
