O.O.O.
Owls Over Oaks unleash a suffocating vision of extreme drone. Their debut album is a monolithic forty minute ritual built on dual basslines by Leynir (former bassist of Enisum), analogue recording and a complete absence of guitars, diving deep into oppressive low end, hypnotic repetition and pitch black atmospheres.
Recorded entirely in analogue and mastered by James Plotkin, the album delivers organic heaviness and ritualistic tension where distortion, space and volume become tools of meditation and annihilation. Instead of traditional riffs, Owls Over Oaks sculpt massive sound waves through layered bass, slow moving drums and the tormented vocals of singer sorceress Aeretica, creating a sonic experience that feels more like a descent than a collection of songs.
O.O.O. unfolds as a single apocalyptic litany across three extended compositions, each flowing into the next to form an unbroken ceremony of darkness.
The sound is rooted in the legacy of the most uncompromising side of doom and drone.
For fans of Thorr’s Hammer, Khanate, Burning Witch, Sunn O))), Nadja.
