More Christmas Carols & Curios
Crickmore:Crewe is a four piece acoustic folk band who, each December, gather to perform a programme of unusual, mostly traditional, often ancient, Christmas songs. They sing in four-part harmony and accompany themselves on stringed instruments, harmonium, concertina, whistles and percussion to create a bygone yuletide atmosphere. "More Christmas Carols & Curios" is their second album and the follow up to the critically acclaimed "Christmas Carols & Curios" (also on Splid Records): "..an inventive and respectful approach to a fascinating selection of song; four excellent voices working effectively both individually and collectively; remarkable, understated musicianship". Nigel Schofield. Tykes News.
