Swiss indie collective Soft Loft have already caused a stir with their debut album. Now the quintet is announcing their âModern Rosesâ EP, which will be released on 25 April on CD and 10" EP via [PIAS] Germany.
This new collection of six songs is dedicated to affection and the small gestures we make to close the distance between us, if only for a little bit. It's also about all the wonderful ways we fail - the loneliness, the longing, the miscommunication, leaving someone and being left behind. All of this is processed on the EP in deep, vibrating, psychedelic-coloured oscillations that swing back and forth between melancholy and ecstasy and are described by the band around singer and songwriter Jorina Stamm herself as âindie-somethingâ.
