The fact is that apart from his instrumental virtuosity, he was a gifted vocalist, a magnificent blues singer in his own right. Now, more than four years after his passing comes the eponymous 'Mike Finnigan' album, his final musical will and testament that features appearances by Stephen Stills, Smokey Robinson, Joe Bonamassa and son, Kelly Finnigan, as well as a who's who of the key players on the LA recording scene. In truth, until now no record has ever properly showcased Finnigan's mastery of the blues genre like this musical tour-de-force.
