Look At Me Now
The late Terry Callier was an esteemed singer/songwriter/guitarist and soul vocalist from Chicago. He grew up with Cutis Mayfield, Major Lance, Jerry Butler and the doo-wop groups of the early 60s. âLook At Me Nowâ was his debut recording for Chess Records, albeit originally a B-side to âYou Goinâ Miss Your Candy Manâ, but it is the single we reissue here that became integral to his legacy and his place on the Northern Soul scene that remains today. An âAlternative Takeâ was recorded at the time and only now has it been made available, exclusive to this 7â release. Original copies of the 1968 release currently exchange hands for between ÂŁ600 and ÂŁ650
