L.P.
L.P. is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special edition that includes 4 bonus tracks, 3 of which have never been released before.
After Danny Wilde's time with Los Angeles power pop/glam sensations The Quick, he teamed up with Phil Solem to form Great Buildings. The duo later rebranded themselves as The Rembrandts, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1990. The album featured the hit song "That’s Just The Way It Is, Baby" and their work on the TV show Friends helped them gain even more recognition.
The theme song they co-wrote and recorded for Friends topped the US Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for eight weeks and also reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Top 40/Mainstream charts. Initially, the song was not available as a commercial single, making it the first song to top the Hot 100 Airplay chart without appearing on the Hot 100. It was later released as a double A-side, reaching number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaking at number one in Canada for five consecutive weeks, becoming the most successful single of 1995.
While I’ll Be There For You may be their most famous song, L.P. is another standout album in The Rembrandts' collection, reaching #23 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Now, fans can enjoy the 30th anniversary edition of L.P. on CD.
