Featuring 14 previously unreleased demos from the vaults of The Outer Limitsâ singer songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist Jeff Christie who has compiled this set. Alongside the recordings from their three singles; âWhen The Work Is Throughâ originally issued on an impossibly rare 1965 Leeds Students Charity Rag flexidisc, âJust One More Chanceâ released in 1967 on Deram and âGreat Train Robberyâ recorded for Rolling Stonesâ manager Andrew Loog Oldhamâs Immediate label in 1968, there are 31 nuggets unearthed here that were recorded in the same time period.
The hard-working band paid their dues playing legendary venues such as Liverpoolâs The Cavern, Newcastleâs Club Aâ Gogo and Sheffieldâs Mojo and these impressive songs prove they would have made a great album if given the chance. Jeff Christie, who later found fame with the band Christie that topped the charts in 1970 with âYellow Riverâ, has been newly interviewed for the booklet notes by Mojo magazineâs Lois Wilson.
