Legendary Finnish punk band LAMA's early singles reissued on a 7" box set for the first time in August LAMA is one of the most legendary Finnish punk bands, established in Helsinki back in 1977. They released four 7" singles during the '80s which were originally compiled on CD and later on a 12" vinyl titled ...Ja mikään ei muuttunut by Svart Records. These four singles will now get the reissue treatment on 7" records, packed in a box set.
...Ja mikään ei muuttunut contains Totuus löytyy kaurapuurosta (1980), Nimetön (1981), Väliaikainen (1981), and Ajatuksen loppu (1983), all originally released by one of the greatest Finnish labels Johanna. Totuus löytyy kaurapuurosta "Hard Finnish punk, ’77-style. “Totuus” is almost fast enough to be thrash; the others are slower. Nice buzzing guitar." -Jeff Bale, MRR #2, October 1982
Nimetön "Powerhouse drumming seems to be the hallmark of this band. The songs on this EP tend to be in the older punk style of ’78, but it’s delivered with great intensity and commitment." -Tim Yohannan, MRR #3, November/December 1982
Väliaikainen "Fast classical-style punk with a chunky instrumental attack. It’s really good but not as awesome as some other Finnish hardcore releases. “Paskaa” is the standout cut, with its throbbing bass and drum beat." -Jeff Bale, MRR #3, November/December 1982
Ajatuksen loppu "The newest (and possibly final) release from LAMA displays a reversion to their pre-thrash sound—powerful mid-tempo punk with a heavy guitar attack. I suspect that it was recorded before their album, but it’d be a super addition to anyone’s collection." -Jeff Bale, MRR #7, July/August 1983
