Hymnos
Hymnos by Claudia Radulescu is a sound installation first presented in 1999 in a park near Antwerp. The melody, composed by Michel Hatzigeorgiou, draws on national anthems and symphonic themes, tinged with rebetiko. In 2020, it was revived in Elisabeth Park, Bastogne, during her solo show at the city’s contemporary art center, the Orangerie. Broadcast over six months, the sound settled into the landscape and began to resonate with the city.
