Sam Russo is known as a Brit-Folk solo artist, but lately it's been different. The past couple years he's been playing shows with a full band. Loud, punk rockĀ sets with galloping drums and distorted guitars. Just the way we like it here at Red Scare. Sam and his band were having such a good time raisin' a racket, thatĀ he enlistedĀ the gents for this next full length album. Hold You Hard is fulla secrets though: Side A is the aforementioned full rock band instalment, and Side B has RussoĀ in his traditional solo incarnation. It's a little experimental and a little risky, but Sam ain't scared of taking chances with this batch of songs. In fact, he's all inĀ and already has three tours of North America booked in support of this new material.
The Englishman has done a lot of recent traveling that has inspired this storytelling, and after releasing three Russo albums, we're excited for the fourthĀ chapter in his journey.
