You Me At Six's major-label debut, Hold Me Down, was released on Virgin Records in January 2010, following the success of their debut album Take Off Your Colours. Now available on vinyl for the first time, experience the album that solidified their reputation, pressed on high-quality 180g vinyl.
Formed in Weybridge, Surrey in 2004, You Me At Six derived their name from the time they would meet. The band consists of vocalist Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes, and drummer Dan Flint who joined in 2007.
After gaining traction at the 2007 Slam Dunk Festival with their blend of heavy, melodic, emo-tinged rock, the band signed with Slam Dunk Records following the release of two self-produced singles. By 2010, they had secured a deal with Virgin Records.
Produced by John Mitchell and Matt O'Grady, Hold Me Down features 12 tracks, including the singles "Kiss And Tell," "Underdog," and "Liquid Confidence" – the latter of which won Best Single at the 2010 Kerrang! Awards. The album peaked at No. 5 on the UK chart, firmly establishing their presence in the UK rock scene.
Since solidifying their lineup in 2007, You Me At Six has grown into one of Britain's most beloved bands. Recently, the band announced their upcoming split after their performance at the Slam Dunk Festival in 2025, with Franceschi expressing the desire for a proper farewell over a quiet exit.
