Hold Me

Johnny’s Uncalled Four returns with two previously unreleased sides from the vault of legendary mastering engineer and maestro, John Golden. 

Recorded in John’s attic studio in 1964, “Hold Me” (originally a pop hit for PJ Proby), gets a frantic, uptempo facelift. With its stomping beat and blistering guitar solo, the track will appeal to folks who fancy the sounds coming outof the Pacific Northwest at that time: The Wailers, Sonics, et al. On the flip side, featuring John Herron on lead guitar, Johnny’s Uncalled Four serves up a haunting helping of instrumental magic, via the eerie, Chet Atkins deep-cut, “Windy and Warm”. 

A must listen for fans of Pete Drake, Santo and Johnny and the like.
