Hey Hey My My Yo Yo
Junior Senior's sophomore album is 20 years old, and we're celebrating by releasing it again! Junior Senior first brought their delectable hooks and explosive energy to the world with their debut album "D-D-Don't Don't Stop The Beat", which was released on Crunchy Frog in 2003. Fuelled by the global smash "Move Your Feet", which spent 9 consecutive weeks in the UK top 10, the band quickly found both commercial success and critical acclaim. Their debut album garnered rave reviews across the globe - Entertainment Weekly named them in their list of The 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment, hailing the album as "an aural assault of hip-hop, techno, garage, punk and house", while Rolling Stone put them on their Hot List, and Dazed promised its devoted readers that Junior Senior "..will restore your faith in the power of rock 'n' roll". For their second, and sadly final album, the duo recruited the female vocal talents of long-time icons (and occasional touring partners) Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson of the B-52s, legendary Motown Records 60's girl group The Velvelettes, and female electro-punk group. Le Tigre. A must-hear revisit!
