Released in August 1970 on the Liberty label, the album was recorded in March and April of that year and established Hawkwind as one of the most exciting and original bands to emerge from the UK Underground scene. Tracks such as âHurry On Sundownâ, âMirror of Illusionâ, âBe Yourselfâ, âSeeing It As You Really Areâ and âParanoiaâ set the scene for the legendary Space Rock style that Hawkwind would explore to great acclaim and success in the 1970s and beyond.
3CD/Bluray - This limited-edition deluxe boxed set comprises three CDs and a Blu-Ray disc and features a brand new remaster of the original album an additional CD of rare live recordings from 1970 from Dave Brockâs archives along with with seven bonus tracks drawn from a 1969 demo session, both sides of the âHurry On Sundownâ single and a studio out-take and new stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes of the album by Stephen W Tayler. The set is completed with an illustrated book with new essay, making this boxed set the definitive release of this legendary album.
