Jagz Kooner's hypnotic 'Good Money - The Midnight Circus remix' is a dazzling mash up of styles and chance meetings. After seeing Kula Shaker on tour in the UK playing with Ocean Colour Scene, Jagz was knocked out by their epic psych rock soundscapes and the infectious bhangra grooves which power through Good Money, (performed by the UK's legendary Johnny Kalsi of the 'Dhol Foundation'). As the remix evolved, more exotic vibes were added, including a shredding sitar by Lionel Pezzano of 'Bhopal Flowers, who Kula Shaker played with in Canada, during a recent North American tour. The remix's title, 'Midnight Circus', from the lyrics, is also a nod to British psych heroes The Pretty Things, as well as Crispian Mill's story concept of the 'Winged Boy', that is woven throughout the band's album Wormslayer.
