This collection features the album and 12" versions of four singles including his biggest hit âWe Don't Have To...â, âThe Word Is Outâ, âJodyâ and âDon't Ever Leave Meâ. âą The five bonus tracks featured are âWe Donât Have To...â (Special Extended Version), âBrillianceâ, âThe Word Is Outâ (West Mix - Extended Version), âJodyâ (Dance Version), âDance Floorâ (Extended Version).
The CD booklet includes comprehensive sleeve notes and a full UK discography featuring many of his original single sleeves. Jermaine Stewart hailed from the mid-west of the USA and became a successful solo singer after spells as a dancer on the renowned US TV show Soul Train, a brief stint with Shalamar and backing vocalist on Culture Club's 1983 album âColour By Numbersâ. It is reported that the band introduced Jermaine to Arista supremo Clive Davis and a deal was done. Jermaine Stewart released four original US albums (three in the UK) and enjoyed chart success, both single and album between 1983-1990. Tragically Jermaine Stewart died in 1997.
