For A Few Dollarz More (The Archives Vol 1: 1984 1991)
Featuring their two Music For Nations albums, Young And Crazy and Bezerk. Plus singles, rarities and live cuts.
Forming in Cardiff in Wales in the mid-1980s, with Steevi Jaimz on vocals, Jay Pepper on lead guitar, Pepsi Tate on bass and Ace Finchum on drums Tigertailz recorded their snotty and street smart debut Young And Crazy in 1987. Signing to influential heavy metal label, Music For Nations (Metallica, RATT), their first record is considered a classic of 1980s British glam and hair metal. As Walesâs answer to Mötley CrĂŒe, through songs such as âShoot To Killâ and âLivin' Without Youâ, they found fans in the pages of Kerrang! and Sounds, the most influential rock and metal magazines of the time.
The band found commercial success with the more radio friendly and commercially orientated Bezerk in 1990, propelled into the Top 40 album charts by the single âHeavenâ, plus the bubblegum classic âLove Bomb Babyâ, a song that has become their calling card.
Produced by Chris Tsangarides, the main change in the band for âBezerkâ was Kim Hooker replacing original singer Steevi Jaimz on vocals.
No slouches when it came to releasing singles and EPs, CD3 of this three disc set is a treasure trove of rarities and non-album cuts, kicking off with the âShoot To Kill' EP, plus live versions of âNine Livezâ and âShe'z Too Hotâ.
