Fly on a Wire (40th Anniversary Edition)

Fly on a Wire (40th Anniversary Edition)

Formed in 1980, The Effigies along with Naked Raygun and Strike Under defined the early Chicago punk sound and scene. They released a string of acclaimed EPs and LPs during the past four decades. In 1985 the Effigies released their post-punk debut Fly On A Wire. Departing from their punk roots to experiment with new rhythms and expanded guitar complexities, the record brought the band to a wider audience, out of the mosh pit and onto the dance floor, featuring a cover of Joy Division’s “No Love Lost” long before others attempted it. The band is now proud to release the remastered 40th Anniversary Edition originally recorded and mixed by the lauded British sound.
