“Every encounter has opened up new spaces - sometimes quietly intimate, sometimes powerfully expressive, sometimes playful, sometimes profound. Whichever new emotion arises, we embrace it and travel through it together.

Night sounds carried by the rich timbres of cello, electric bass, fretless bass, and piano: dreamlike, calm, dark, mysterious.

“But we are also united by a passion for groove. Danceable tracks create a contrast to the stillness - and both shine with greater intensity. Because dance, too, belongs to the night.

“Our journey together is also enriched by some special companions: Lorenz Raab and his glorious flugelhorn sound, Veronika Harcsa and her moving Hungarian interpretation of ‘‘Round Midnight’ and Mahan Mirarab’s mystical fretless guitar playing which makes Gurdjieff’s ‘Woman’s Dance’ the album’s emotional centrepiece.
