Since forming in Martinez, CA in 2004 Almost Dead has been churning out an aggressive blend of thrash metal, groove metal, and hardcore. Taking inspiration from bands like Pantera, Sepultura, and infusing them with bands from their local bay area scene such as Testament and Machine Head, as well as incorporating more modern influences such as New England metalcore and NY death metal. Almost Dead has created their own unique sound that includes all the elements of metal you know and love. MetalHammer Spain called 2021's “Brutal Onslaught” one of the best metal releases of the year...for the faithful of American thrash metal, referring to it as an album that demonstrated “incredible virtuosity” and “characterized by the great variety of riffs and power it has beginning to end.” In 2023 Almost Dead wrote and recorded their 6th album, “Destruction Is All We Know.” Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Zac Ohren at Shark Bite Studios(Exodus, Machine Head)
