Deixa Passar / Ile

This 12" EP concretises on physical support the renewed collaboration between Gerardo Frisina and Tomaz "Toco" Di Cunto with two samba jazz and Brazilian popular music unreleased songs, "Deixa Passar" and "IlĂŞ ", both in their original and reworked versions. The music composed and arranged by Gerardo backs up the Portuguese language lyrics and melodic lines of Toco, who beautifully duets with Luzia Dvorek. The instrumental department features Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Eduardo Taufic on piano and Fender Rhodes, and Edu Moreno on flute, in an excellent 'union of opposites', between popular music and modern sounds, between acoustic instruments and electronics. Not only musically, but also visually and lyrically, this EP is a tribute to the Brazilian culture and lands.
