The complete opera recordings made by Joan Sutherland are offered as two volumes. The first, encompasses recordings from 1959 to 1970 includes an early example of her Mozart, singing Donna Anna in Don Giovanni (with Giulini, 1959), a âliveâ Alcina recorded the same year with Fritz Wunderlich, the first of two recordings of Lucia di Lammermoor (Pritchard), as well as Faust, Norma, Semiramide, LakmĂ©Â and Les Huguenots (all conducted by Bonynge). No Sutherland offering would be complete without rarities, and this volume includes highlights from Graunâs Montezuma and Bononciniâs Griselda.
