Blues Is Blues
Robert Kane's professional music career began with the Showbiz Kids, a New Wave group who became one of the busiest and most popular in North East England. In the nineties Robert turned to R&B with 'The Alligators' and gigged constantly for the next five years. One of The Alligators was guitarist Hilton Valentine from the Animals so drummer John Steel was recruited along with Robert and they spent the next five years touring the world as The Animals. They'd crossed paths with lots of bands at various festivals one of which was Dr Feelgood, and as they were in need of a new singer, Robert was approached. He accepted the offer and in 1999 became a member and at time of writing, is well on the way to 3000 gigs with the band.
