Following hot on the heels of their Jamaican 1967 debut album 007 Shanty Town, Desmond Dekker and the Aces were ready for Action! the following year. Like its predecessor, Action! bundled up another slew of the quintetâs recent hits featuring âDonât Believe Meâ, a stunning example of the rock steady genre with tight vocal harmonies and that Beverleyâs rhythm section composed of Kingstonâs finest session musicians, arranged by Leslie Kong.
