A Hard Day's Nightmare
Before they were The Dwarves, these Highland Park misfits tore through the â80s as Suburban Nightmare, unleashing A Hard Dayâs Nightmareâa raw garage-punk blast now reissued on vinyl (only 500 copies!).
The chaos began with fuzzed-out riffs, snotty vocals, and a high school expulsion for staging a nude art stunt. More than an adolescent punk relic, this album is the blueprint of a band bound for cult status.
Soon after, they became The Dwarves, moved to San Francisco, and never looked back. Raw, wild, and realâgrab this limited reissue before itâs gone!
This is where the chaos began: fuzzed-out riffs, snotty vocals, and the kind of degenerate energy that only kids with nothing to lose can summon. The bandâs infamy kicked off in 1983, when they were expelled from high school for hiring teen art models to pose nude with bowls of fruit on their heads during a pep rally.
A year later, Suburban Nightmare was born, and the notorious Skull and Boners logoâcourtesy of underground artist Jon Strausâsealed the deal. A Hard Dayâs Nightmare is more than just a teenage punk artifactâitâs the unfiltered blueprint of a band about to go off the rails and onto cult status.
Shortly after this release, they changed their name to The Dwarves, relocated to San Francisco, and never looked back. Raw. Wild. Real. This vinyl reissue captures the filthy, fun spirit of early â80s punk like nothing else.
